The Opportunity

The Philadelphia Phillies Major League Baseball team wanted to find a unique way to transport fans into Citizens Bank Park for the traditional Opening Day Ceremonies. The Phillies marketing team came to the conclusion that traditional media was not going to achieve the fan engagement they were seeking.  

The Solution

The Phillies partnered with Greenfish Labs to produce the FIRST EVER Facebook 360 live broadcast of an MLB Opening Day Ceremony. Greenfish brought in a team of digital VR experts to place a number of 360 cameras around the Park so every moment would be captured. 

The Result

The Facebook 360 live broadcast resulted in over 100,000 views during the 30 minute livestream. This yielded high engagement numbers and was considered a resounding success by both the Phillies and their fans.
